If you know from previous conversations that there is something that is more valuable to them (i.e. schools, housing, staff) then anything else, make arrangements for them to examine that first hand. For example, if you know that they are wanting a big house with a white picket fence, drive them through the better neighborhoods (if they have children it is best to drive them when the kids are playing after school) and let them imagine the possibilities.

By remembering the names of their children and spouse, you can reinforce the image further by saying "Jimmy would love this neighborhood, they have a lot of boys his age that live nearby." The more personalized that you can create an image in their head the more that you are able to reinforce your message.

Okay, so you took the candidate for a spin through the neighborhoods, now it is time to provide supportive information that he can use after the interview. You should visit your local chamber of commerce, a real estate agent, and your visitor's center to put together additional literature (besides that of your organization) that will communicate the message that you are trying to send. Providing supportive literature (beyond what your organization can provide) will conjure more images and will increase the odds of recruiting healthcare professionals.
