| Director of Vendor Relations needed for a major equipment maintenance management corporation which services healthcare providers across the United States. Clients are free-standing and integrated systems consisting of acute care facilities and alternate site providers surgery and emergency care facilities, nursing homes, HMOs, imaging centers, physician offices, and multi-disciplinary clinics. This postiion will be responsible for negotiating the best prices for parts and services on biomedical and diagnostic imaging equipment. Must be an excellent relationship builder with OEMs such as GE Medical, Philips, Siemens and Toshiba. Will work with hundreds of vendors currently being used. Must be a savvy negotiator with years of experience as Materials Manager/Director of Purchasing for a biomedical or clinical engineering services provider. Must be a senior level person. Necessary skills include: strong financial skills; excellent project manangement skills; Outstanding leadership skills to lead a team of 8; Expert negotiator with vendors and OEMs; Able to manage a minimum of $55 million in parts and services per year. Must have a Bachelors degree, Masters a plus. Salary will be comensurate with experience with a base in the high $100,000 plus an excellent bonus package. The position is based in the Los Angeles area and will include extensive travel.
