Large hospital in New York City is seeking a Practice Manager. Responsibilities include overseeing surgical scheduling for Ophthalmology and ENT, including preauthorization process; orient new physicians to ambulatory care processes; supervise appointment scheduling in the phone bank and clinics to ensure timely and correct appointments are scheduled to patients. Individual will assist Division Director, managers, physicians and nursing staff in the development and implementation of workflow process/procedures designed to increase efficiency. Recommend, implement and evaluate processes designed to improve facility billing capability and increase revenue. Bachelors Degree in healthcare management or business required. Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in the area related to specified duties and responsibilities. Strong verbal, written and communication skills required. Excellent interpersonal skills with focus on customer service required. Computer proficiency and knowledge of Excel required. Knowledge of Meditech preferred.
