The physicians work 12 hour rotating shifts 7a-7p-7a. The ER has 2 critical care rooms, 8 treatment bays and is adjacent to lab and x-ray. The average 24 hour census is 40-45 patients, with an average of 6 patients admits per day. Major trauma is flown to the nearest trauma center. This is an employed position and would include full-time benefits including malpractice, 4 weeks vacation, 1 week for CME, a CME allowance, relocation, health, life, dental insurance, ST and LT disability, 403b matching plan, pension plan, etc. The proposed salary for the director is $111 per hour for clinical work and $122.65 for administrative work. The physicians are currently doing 12-13 shifts per month with about 3 shifts per pay on the night shift. The director would be included in the shift rotation.
