| Indiana CRNA. The type of cases can be described as bread and butter. There are no hearts or heads: the case load is almost entirely general, GU and orthopedic surgeries with some ENT. There are approximately 3300 surgical cases per year. The OB service has about 300 deliveries per year and has 1 OB and 1 FP doing deliveries. Call for the first year is 1 in 2 shared equally with the MDA. The call is not invasive. Rarely is one called at night, and emergencies done in the evening are kept to a minimum. The weekends are similar; most cases are done during the day. Often there is work only on one day and occasional there are no cases the entire weekend.
