Must have solid communication and report writing skills. Must be able to speak to audiences on coding and reimbursement related topics. Provide nationwide clients hospital inpatient and outpatient coding audits and training; and educating nursing staff and patient care staff on documentation requirements to meet coding requirements. Those with chargemaster review skills will also perform chargemaster reviews and interviews. Monday-Friday consulting to client facilities nationwide (mainly Midwest and east coast). Can live near any Midwest or east metro airport. Salary will go up if you have CDM knowledge. 

Pennsylvania
This health system seeks a Hospital Outpatient Coding Manager, a qualified individual to manage its large teaching hospital's outpatient coding services. Comprehensive management training program is provided to advance management staff's operations and personnel management skills. This is a new position to report to the HIM Director. CCS (RHIT or RHIA additionally preferred) and five (5) years progressive coding or coding review experience in ICD-9-CM, CPT, and HCPCS with claims processing and/or data management responsibilities; coding auditing experience and knowledge of outpatient payment systems.
