Moving Checklist
Our moving checklist will help you transition into a new home easier. It is a checklist of the most important points of the move. All of these items should be addressed at least 4-6 weeks before move. You should inform them of your new address, write down any confirmation information that they provide and verify shut off dates. Utilities. You should also let your Utility provider know where to send the final bill and when they should shut off the service. Write down and store all order confirmations. This includes electric, gas, water, telephone, trash, cable/satellite, internet and sewer companies.
Personal. Personal items are what we classified as items that deal with financial, medical and legal issues. This includes credit cards, bank accounts, prescriptions, insurance providers, health providers, Accountants, Attorney's and Financial Brokers.
Government. Governmental issues that you should take care of are items such as the Department of Motor Vehicles, Social Security Administration, State & Federal Tax Bureaus and the City/County Assessors.
Media. You should inform all of the subscriptions that you are a member of a few weeks in advance. This includes newspapers, magazines, newsletters and journals.
