healthcare outsourcing agreements

Many people, companies, and organizations take healthcare outsourcing agreements seriously, but one must ensure that whatever a company has promised will be in writing. Along that same line, you must also read the content of the healthcare outsourcing agreements very closely to ensure that there are no hidden costs or hidden fees.

Scope. You must fully understand the scope of services that are provided and what will be delivered. If you elect to modify the terms of the healthcare outsourcing agreements, you must let the provider know in writing and ensure that they are fully aware of what changes are required.

Don't accept verbal agreements. Verbal agreements are very difficult to litigate against and should always be followed up with a written document. For example, if you need a consultant to provide additional services, and they verbally agree, send a simple agreement to them that will acknowledge that the additional services will be provided.

Keep Track of your Changes. By keeping track of your communication with a service provider, you are able to ensure that you are covered should a fall off occur. It is wise to back up all of your email communications regularly (using an external hard drive) as well as print them off for easy access. This process of backing your files up ensures that you are covered in case your computer crashes.

Duration & Costs. You must also examine how long the service will be provided, the frequency that you will be able to access the service, and the costs incurred. If the healthcare outsourcing agreements does not outline how often the service will be provided or the duration of it, then you may end up paying a lot of money for nothing. The costs incurred should be specific (setup fees, monthly fees, access fees, etc.) and should include the exact costs for any contingency fees (onsite consulting, custom development, placement fees, etc.).
