Must be able to stand, sit, or walk for long periods of time and lift, transfer, carry 50 lbs using appropriate assistive devices. Works under the supervision of the Director of Surgical Services and the OR Charge Nurse. The OR Service Coordinator is responsible for the nursing care behaviors described in the RN job description. Also accepts the responsibility for their specialty surgical service and maintains constant review of the needs of the physicians and patients involved in their specialty. Performs other duties as assigned. Employee will maintain confidentiality at all times.

This position will be the clinical resource and mentor for the department and the Specialist will establish Q.A. and educational training programs. Some relocation assistance is provided.
