Job Description

Georgia Orthopedic Surgeon. We are looking for a BC/BE orthopod, preferably skilled and interested in scope skills for a community in the foothills of northern Georgia. The areas only orthopod has a very busy practice currently booked up more than two months ahead but almost all his work is with joints; scope work is leaving the community. Consequently there is a significant need for a surgeon skilled in arthroscopic procedures. Local primary care docs are supportive; one recently recruited FP does a significant amount of sports medicine and would love to have an orthopod to refer his surgeries to. The local orthopod plans to retire in 3 to 5 years, so this is an excellent opportunity to establish a strong practice and position yourself to bring in an associate in a couple of years. Practice possibilities include joining the existing ortho practice or establishing your own; either way the local hospital is prepared to assist with a generous financial package including cash collections guarantee, commencement bonus, relocation expense reimbursement, marketing and CME allowances, specialized practice start-up assistance and support, possible educational loan repayment assistance, possible tail coverage assistance.
