Job Description

Orthopedic Surgeon needed in northeastern Nevada. There are 4 Orthopedists now with consulting privileges only. Physician can be employed or put into private practice. 1 of the Orthos is very part-time; another one does mostly Sports and all outpatient, another one does outpatient only. A generalist is needed, however, a fellowship trained spine surgeon would be welcome. Demographic data has determined that there are 190 spine cases per year being referred to Reno. Call is to be determined and an income guarantee of approximately $550K, with signing bonus and a full benefits package is being offered. 2009 Residents and Fellows with stipend offered for early signing. Low Practice Premiums, NO state income tax, NO HMO presence and strong reimbursement. This regional hospital is a $40 million state-of-the-art facility that opened in 2001 offering an adjacent medical office building and is the only acute care hospital within a 200 mile radius. Recent equipment additions include a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, state-of the-art MRI unit, CT Scanner, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography, Computerized Radiology and Ultrasound. The hospital also serves as a teaching institution for the local Nursing program and the Residency/Medical Student Program at the University of Nevada.
