Job Description BE/BC Internal Medicine physician needed in southwest Ohio. Currently a 9 physician multispecialty practice consisting of 6 Internal Medicine, 2 endocrinologists and 1 rheumatologist. The primary care physicians serve as Hospitalists for the entire group, as well as support the hospitals inpatient diabetes consultation service. Primary care physicians generally see 22-25 patients per day, 4 and 1/2 days per week. Patient panel size per primary care physician is 1,200 to 1,500. All primary care physicians share hospital duty, with a rotation of 1 week of every 7. Average hospital census is 15 patients. Call coverage is the same for the Hospitalist rotation, plus intermittent evening hospital/office call, Sunday through Thursday. Weekend call rotation for office and hospital diabetes service, one weekend every 7 weeks.
