Job Description

BC/BE Hospitalist/Medical Director needed in southern Nebraska. Help establish the first hospitalist program in a community welcoming the addition of the program. You will practice at two hospitals in close proximity to one another. You will supervise and be responsible for the operation of the program and quality of the medical care furnished in the hospitalist program. The program will be managed by the first Hospitalist program in Nebraska. They now employ 108 providers including 15 hospitalists. Very flexible schedule, 9 or 10 hour day shifts, 15-18 day shifts/month. Will include 14 hour night shifts once the program is full, total of 5 hospitalists. This is an excellent opportunity to be a part of a new hospitalist program and help grow it from the ground up. Candidate must have excellent leadership, organizational and communication skills. This is a great place to live with outstanding public/private schools and strong park system with extensive hike/bike trails, a progressive, university town with many shopping options from well-known retailers to boutique shopping. For arts and cultural entertainment, it is home to a 5,000 seat event center, performing arts theater, community theater and the Museum of Nebraska Art.
