Job Description

Orthopedic Surgeon needed for upper part of Lower Peninsula in Michigan for a multispecialty group of primary and specialty care providers. A general orthopedics practice, other interests will be considered as an addition. Ideally candidate will have completed a Reconstructive Fellowship or has interest and major joint experience. Planning for succession in practice with two of three surgeons nearing retirement. Full time office practice in brand new building located off site from hospital. Onsite radiology services. Call schedule one in four. Electronic health record shared with medical group. 20-25 patients per day. Competitive salary retirement program. 2 yr salary guarantee with option to convert to RVU incentive based salary at any time. Pension w/2% employer match, 403B Tax deferred annuity, 457B. Top hat annuity also available. Insurance package loan assistance. Supplemental health, life, long and short term disability, professional liability, medical discounts. Negotiable: Liability insurance, sign-on-bonus. Modified claims made-group coverage/not individual - tail coverage is provided automatically as long as the hospital continues the policy with the company. Negotiable: CME/dues, license allowance $5200 and 5 CME days a year, paid time off 20 days a year combined sick, vacation, personal paid holidays - 6 per yr, relocation expense allowance up to $7500. Orthopedics, we are willing to wait for the right candidate that has a Reconstructive or Spine fellowship as either a new graduate or in practice no more than ten years which will allow for succession in the practice.
