Job Description

Internal Medicine job in Dayton, Ohio. Currently recruiting FT, board certified internal medicine specialist, with interest in both office practice and inclusion in the practices regular hospital rotation schedule. Currently a 9 physician multispecialty practice consisting of 6 internal medicine, 2 endocrinologists and 1 rheumatologist. The primary care physicians serve as Hospitalists for the entire group, as well as support the hospitals inpatient diabetes consultation service. Call coverage for Hospitalist rotation, plus intermittent evening hospital/office call, Sunday through Thursday. Weekend call rotation for office and hospital diabetes service, one weekend every 7 weeks. There are opportunities for student loan repayment and relocation is covered. Patient volume for primary care physician is 1,200 to 1,500 and generally see 22-25 patients per day, 4-1/2 days per week. Patient panel size share hospital duty, with a rotation of 1 week of every 7. Average hospital census is 15 patients; however an intermittent census of over 20 does occur. Office hours 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. weekdays. Relocation is provided.
