BC/BE Internal Medicine physician needed in eastern Minnesota. Outpatient only or inpatient and outpatient opportunities available. General Internal Medicine practice with 10 Internists and four nurse practitioners. Practice at our largest clinic site with approximately 60 providers in the specialty areas of allergy, cardiology, dermatology, endocrinology, family medicine, gastroenterology, geriatrics, general surgery, orthopedics, Ob/Gyn, ophthalmology, optometry, otolaryngology, pediatrics, psychiatry, psychology, urology and urgent care. Patients are admitted to United Hospital in Saint Paul, MN. Schedule is flexible, and group is open to Monday-Friday, 8 - 5 p.m. shift, working 4-4 1/2 days/week or a block schedule of 7 days on/7 days off. Weekend rounding United Hospital every 4th weekend, 7:30-4:30 pm. No evening call is required; however physicians have option of working 4:30 p.m.-midnight or 12:00am - 7:30 a.m. for which additional compensation is paid. Average 12-15 patients/day with 1-2 admissions per day. Full time or part time available. Outpatient only position - 35 patient contact hours/week. Inpatient and outpatient position - 32 patient contact hours/week. Electronic medical records system being implemented in 2009. Clinic hours are Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Lab, X-ray, MRI, CT, Dexa, ultrasound and mammography available on site.
