or a PharmD. One year NICU experience or residency in
NICU. Knowledge of CPCS, MediTech, AcuDose, Microsoft
Office. Required: Current licensure in Texas as a
Registered Pharmacist or eligible. Preferred: Current
licensure in Texas as a Registered Pharmacist. BCLS

Job Description

NICU Pharmacy job for Texas. Under supervision of Pharmacy Director, provides pharmaceutical care in accordance with the standards of pharmacy practice, and in compliance with departmental guidelines and state and federal regulations under the direction of the medical staff pursuant of the objectives of the hospital and provides pharmacy services to all patients of this Austin Medical Center with a focus on Neonatal and Pediatric patients. Salary DOE. Duties also include interaction with family assigned guardians and health care providers as appropriate to define compliance with current standard of practice as well as assure continuity of services to achieve desired patient outcomes through safe, timely, cost-effective pharmaceutical care. The normal work hours for this position are 1st, 2nd, and/or 3rd shift; including weekends and holidays. Ideal candidate will possess the experience and background to establish and refine a large NICU Pharmacy 30+ average census. Possess the clinical experience and ability to establish clinical services, protocols and all aspects of pharmaceutical care for a large NICU Pharmacy. Possess the interpersonal skills to coordinate the development of pharmaceutical care for a large NICU with all members of the health care team including Neonatalogists, NICU Nurses, Pharmacists, and pharmacy technicians. Typing and use of computer keyboard; reading of technical and clinical medical information, thermometers, CRT screens; ability to write technical reports and case reviews; math skills: basic math, preparation of simple reports.
