Job Description

Hospital system medical group is seeking a Senior VP. Medical degree is required. Internist preferred, but other practice would be considered. The medical group is a growing multi-specialty physician group practice, including more than 20 practices with 70 physicians. Primary care services are provided by family medicine, pediatric and internal medicine physicians. Group offers specialty care to patients in pulmonology, critical care, cardiology, OB/GYN, gastroenterology, infectious disease, pain management, behavioral health and more. The group is seeking an accomplished physician executive to help shape the future; responsible for medical group administration, business development, quality, recruitment and program oversight; demonstrate values of excellence, communication, trust, teamwork, responsibility and respect in all work-related actions and decisions; direct all aspects of medical policies and programs; prepare and present operational and financial reports; implement organizational structures that promote shared accountability. The group is part of a not-for-profit regional system serving 2 states. The incumbent should have a clinical/administrative background and a Masters degree. Experience in physician group practice administration in a hospital setting is mandatory. Experience in multi-specialty clinic governance; 3 years of post-residency clinical experience; board certified/eligible; working knowledge of legal and accrediting standards. Salary is $250K, plus bonus potential.
