Job Description

Emergency Medicine Medical Director job in northeastern Texas. Located 2 hours form Dallas. Salary $400-$450K with a $50K sign on. Needs physician who can start by March 2010. This ER has 31 ED beds with 70K annual visits. Physician shifts are 10 hours per day, group has 6 shifts per day with 24 hours midlevel coverage. Designated trauma team. ED has their own Radiology Department. Documentation system is Eclipsys. Admission rate is 13% with 60% of patients being IM. Annual salary including Medical Director Stipend is $400K- $450K with productivity bonus. This position has an Independent Contractor status with paid malpractice to include tail coverage. Current Texas licensure is a must since this need is immediate. Medical Director would be expected to do 50-60% administrative work and 5-8 clinical shifts per month.
