RN UTILIZATION MGMT JOB FOR NEW JERSEY BS1667 (Ref: BSX1667)

Work Experience New Jersey RN license; experience in utilization management and case management.
Job Description Major healthcare organization in New Jersey is seeking an RN with experience in Utilization Review/Case Management. This is a 9 month contract position and may be extended or become permanent. The incumbent will perform duties using established guidelines to ensure appropriate level of care as well as planning for the transition to the continuum of care. Major duties include: Assess patients clinical need against established guidelines and/or standards to ensure that the level of care and LOS of the patient are medically appropriate for inpatient stay; evaluate the necessity, appropriateness and efficiency of medical services and procedures provided; document accurately and comprehensively based on the standards of practice and current organization policies; interact and communicate with multidisciplinary teams either by telephone or on-site; understand fiscal accountability and its impact on the utilization of resources; evaluate care by problem solving, analyzing variances and participating in the quality improvement program to enhance member outcomes; and perform special projects as assigned. Qualification include: New Jersey RN license; extensive experience in utilization management and case management. Salary is negotiable. Healthcare benefits provided.
