Job Description

Pediatric Intensivist job in New Jersey. Regional hospital close to downtown Philadelphia. Seeking 2 BC/BE Intensivists to join 2 full time Intensivists, following the relocation of 1 member. The program provides pediatric sedation services in special testing and short procedure areas. This hospital is the major pediatric tertiary care center for the 10 county southern New Jersey region and the only state designated childrens hospital in South Jersey. The nearly 40 full time faculty members of the Department of Pediatrics provide the complete range of pediatric general and sub-specialty care and teach within the departments pediatric residency and medical student programs. Approximately 40 additional pediatric specialists from the departments of surgery, emergency medicine, anesthesiology, radiology and others are located here. The department has an active basic and clinical research program. The pediatric inpatient service includes a 6 bed PICU, 12 bed step down unit, 20 bed pediatric floor, 35 bed state-of-the art NICU and 8 bed pediatric emergency department. Level three NICU and a level one trauma center with board certified pediatric emergency medicine physicians. There is an outpatient surgical center for procedures along a full service pathology program, PFTs, a monitored bed for EEG along with inpatient and outpatient EEG services. The focus of their program is clinical care and teaching. Research endeavors will be supported. Call schedules are distributed equitably amongst each division.
