Job Description

Director of Infection Prevention for Florida. Plans, directs, and manages the activities of the Infection Prevention Department. Works closely with hospital administration, hospital departments, and committees to carry out all functions incorporated into the Infection Prevention program. Serves as facilitator, educator, and resource for leadership and staff relating to Evidence-based Practice Infection Prevention. Guides the organization in the implementation and support of infection prevention and control improvements and measurement methodology, which will assist in achieving high quality satisfaction and clinical outcomes. Institutes infection prevention measures to protect patients, staff, and visitors from suspected risk situations. Monitors performance improvement activities as it relates to Infection Prevention and keeps the hospital up to date in fulfilling requirements from accrediting and regulatory agencies. Adheres to the Corporate Compliance Plan, and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state, and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. Actively participates in outstanding customer serve and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Pay 39.13-58.70/hour. Bachelors degree in nursing or related health care field. At least 5 years of experience in a health care environment, including experience in management. Must have 3-5 years of Director exp. in Infection Prevention/Control or Risk Management. Must have CIC certification. Also must be currently over a large hospital or system.
