Job Description

Med Surg/Tele RN needed for inpatient facility in southern Texas just southeast of Houston. Nurse to Patient ratio: 1 to 4. 60 bed unit that contains all types of patients; telemetry must have experience working with this type of patient to be considered, ortho, surgical and medical. RN will rotate to all areas. This unit is currently taking overflow patients as well from other areas. Unit is in transition, so size and structure may change as UTMB rebuilds. Hours are 7pm to 7 am. 3 to 4 years MS and Telemetry experience and minimum 2 years clinical experience. Advanced beginner. Possess knowledge and skill necessary to meet standards for professional practice as specified in Nurse Practice Act without supervision. Recognizes when assistance is needed and seeks appropriate resources. This level of practice is characterized by a balance of dependent and interdependent decision making. Focus is on expanding knowledge and skills for specialty area. Need is immediate. Full benefit package offered. Salary based on experience and negotiated after interview.
