Job Description

Business Development Specialist with Washington, DC experience needed for Washington, DC. Candidate must have Air Transport experience. The position will report to the Vice President Government and Security Business Development based in Geneva, and will be responsible for achieving Government and Security sales, revenue, and margin targets in the North America region, including Canada and the USA and Mexico, and for supporting bid management of Border Management Solutions globally. The incumbent will work closely with the Regional Vice Presidents for Sales and Relationship Management in their respective regions NAM and LAC, and with regional sales teams in order to develop business opportunities and close deals in the areas of border management, biometrics, and security. Will work directly with relevant GSL counterparts Product Management, Delivery, Solution Design, etc. and Support Functions Finance, Legal, Marketing. The successful candidate will work as an active member of the 9 person Global Government and Security Solutions Business Development team accountable for achieving global Government and Security TCV, revenue, and margin targets, and providing strategic leadership for IT solution sales to governments, airports, and airlines worldwide to enhance security, passenger facilitation, and border management. Current targets call for the Government and Security business to grow in 2010 and beyond at rates substantially higher than the rest of SITAs business, while maintaining a high level of NPV margin. It is essential that this person has the ability to work within a large, complex and continually changing organization, developing a network within his/her regions of responsibility as well as with global teams.
