DIRECTOR OF BEHAVIORAL HEALTH needed for NEW HOSPITAL FACILITY in CALIFORNIAOur magnet hospital in southern California is seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Director for our new 200+ bed facility associated with a nearby university system. The Director of Behavioral Health will be working on the start-up of this facility. This is a great opportunity for someone who skilled in business development and starting a unit from the ground up. The position reports to the Vice President of Patient Care Services / CNO.SALARY, BENEFITS & RELOCATION$150,000 to $190,000 per year, depending on experience. BLS certifications within 30 days of employment.3. Must be able to set goals and judge results in accordance with the highest standards4. Demonstrate care with sensitivity and respect.5. Able to advance care through the development of new ideas and technology.6. Must be able to promote teamwork.7. Must be able to understand and exceed customer expectations.8. Knowledge of Family-centered care concepts and Quality Improvement methodologies.9. Demonstrated skill in collaborating with medical staff, allied health professionals, peer and staff.10.Ability to manage multiple competing priorities concurrently.11.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.12.Demonstrated ability to successfully provide and promote safe care within the parameters of licensure and regulatory requirements and hospital systems.13.Experience with behavioral health population is preferred.14.Experience with budget and productivity systems.15.Eligibility for the ANCC Administrative certification is preferred.RESPONSIBILITIES:1. The Director of Behavioral Health will plan, develop, implement and evaluate administrative management and strategy for the mental health program at the organization throughout the continuum of care by establishing and maintaining current standards, systems and processes that are effective to ensure excellence in the units within a family-centered care model.2.
