RN / INFECTION CONTROL/EMPLOYEE HEALTH COORDINATOR needed in NEW MEXICO:
Our 100+ bed hospital in southeastern New Mexico is seeking an Infection Control RN and Employee Health Coordinator. This individual will be responsible for planning, administering and monitoring systems and procedures related to the detection and control of infectious micro-organisms within our medical center. He or She will also coordinate health services for all employees as well as develop and implement policies and procedures in this area.



SALARY, ANNUAL BONUS and other BENEFITS:

Salary is dependent on experience. Full benefits and relocation assistance are also offered.



MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associates Degree in Nursing required. BSN is preferred.
  • Must possess a current NM license as an RN, or a multi-state compact license that allows the nurse to work in New Mexico.

  • Should have at least 2 years' experience in infection control in an acute care facility.

  • Should demonstrate a clear working knowledge of infectious disease processes and their impact on the public health and statistical methods.

  • Must demonstrate leadership ability to effectively implement action plans and education activities related to these areas.

  • Certification in Infection Control (CIC) and completion of CDC's or APIC's Basic Course in Infection Control is preferred.

  • BLS is required upon hire or must be completed during new hire orientation.

  • Must have proficiency in written and verbal communications.
